Grow Your Skills. Inspire Their Learning.

We deliver practical, inspiring training that turns knowledge into meaningful outdoor practice.

Our CPD courses are led by experienced professionals from the early years and primary sectors, alongside our Culinary Learning Lead. Courses focus on curriculum-based outdoor learning, food and health, and effective pedagogy.

Training takes place at Little Bugs Abercorn, where participants can immerse themselves in a working outdoor nursery. This hands-on environment brings learning to life, building confidence and providing practical ideas that can be taken back and adapted for every setting.

How confidently could you show the breadth of technology learning taking place in your outdoor space?

Technology is far more than apps and screens. Children engage with it when they investigate why a material is waterproof, choose textiles for a purpose, design and improve a structure, or use digital tools to deepen their understanding of nature.

Join Prairie and Pine for a practical course exploring materials, textiles, design and digital technology, with sustainability woven throughout. We’ll connect the experiences to Curriculum for Excellence and the new shared ELC inspection framework used by HM Inspectors and the Care Inspectorate. You’ll leave with ideas you can use straight away and the confidence to explain the learning behind them.
